The Sergeant Bluff Public Library started out as the Library Project in 2017; a grass-roots effort to establish a free-standing public library in Sgt Bluff, IA. We have come a long way in just a few short years, starting with a partnership with SBL Schools thru 2019. 

The library was initially located in the Sergeant Bluff Community Center until Dec 2022, when we moved to our current space at 503 4th St, next to the new City Hall. This move gives the library twice the space we had previously, and a nice large meeting room available for Library programs and available for the community rental when not in use.  

We are excited to be able to provide more to the community with our new, expanded space! Stop in and see us during open business hours and watch our Facebook page for events and activities!
